In this article, Samantha Lai and Jenny Tang address attempts to monitor and overcome online harassment. Efforts have fallen short due to a lack of cooperation and information-sharing across stakeholders, which has disproportionately hurt women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals. The authors propose that the White House Task Force to Address Online Harassment and Abuse gather government actors, civil society organizations, and industry representatives in order to develop an Anti-Online Harassment (AOH) Hub to advance and streamline responses to online harassment. The AOH would also provide evidence-based recommendations to the Task Force.
